New course to build doctors’ confidence and influence in global health and policy
A buzz is building in advance of Eurekadoc’s new full day course on Global Health and Policy for doctors.
The not-to-be-missed course will provide critical insights structured around 6 key themes. It aims to give doctors a foundation in the knowledge and understanding necessary to lead and excel in global health and policy, be that as a clinician or in a role specific to these fields.
The course will provide an introduction to both national and global political and health landscapes, challenges and possible solutions. Through a combination of presentations and Live Play-Through exercises, participants have the opportunity to develop the confidence and capacity to grasp opportunities to diversify their careers with respect to these exciting and challenging fields.
David Neal, a doctor practicing in North West London, will be the tutor of the new course. David has broad experience in the fields, which include working at a public health laboratory on Zanzibar, and interning at the World Health Organization in Geneva. He was used his background to design a unique and inspirational experience that will be targeted, relevant and informative for medical students and doctors.
David said of the course, “I’m really excited to deliver this course for the first time to what promises to be a really bright and enthusiastic group. I’m particularly looking forward to facilitating the Live Play-Throughs. Not only are they a lot of fun, giving people the chance to experience what it’s actually like to work in global health and policy, they discover unique insights… people often surprise themselves!”
